Limited mobility and accessibility requirementsHere at Silver Travel Advisor, we are frequently asked questions about limited mobility and accessible travel. We are firm believers in helping silver travellers to get out and about and to enjoy themselves. Whether this is a day trip or a holiday, the emphasis is on solutions and ways to help.

Flying with a disability

Travel Concierge

Travel Concierge
appear to have a facility for supporting those who are infrequent fliers or who may need some extra help. 

DiamondAir

DiamondAir help older passengers who are concerned about airports and the whole flying experience or who have mobility requirements. They offer a very personal service to accompany clients from arrival at the airport right through to boarding the plane. The service is available at UK and many overseas airports.

Heathrow Airport have added a useful page on their site for senior travel including tips and suggestions. 

Coach tours

Elgar Coaches - helping the less able to travel. Coaches with lifts are on some day trips and holidays.

Belle Vue -
group holidays with wheel accessible coaches, wheelchair accessible minibuses, accessible day trip excursions for groups, or accessible coach holiday tours for group.

Dolphine Coaches of Wimborne -
all fixed wheelchairs electric or manual can be accommodated. They are all secured by “Unwin” fittings to tracking set in the floor. There is plenty of luggage space to carry folding wheelchairs “wheelies” and suitcases. Some day tours and holidays suitable for persons needing these facilities.

Endeavour Coaches - lifts on the coaches enable access for not only wheelchair users but also any person who may have difficulty with the steps on to the coach.

and Eavesway Travel -  offer some support.

Ports Direct - transportation service from your home to port and return. Comfortable vehicles and good reports.

Special Needs Group - special needs equipment rentals around the world.

Rent a Scoota - hire all over the UK including other equipment and scooters for cruises through mobility at sea.
