Reasons for trip

We visited here a couple of times with our granddaughters aged 8 & 5 during the school summer holidays. It was extremely busy. The staff were doing a sterling job but in my opinion too many people were allowed in at a time for comfort and safety. Demand is so great that we were turned away on one occasion that we visited. That said we had a FUN time during the allocated 1.5 hours and I wouldn’t hesitate to take the girls again. The splash area is wonderful with two large slides and smaller ones for tots. There are tipping buckets overhead ( keep your tots away from the big one which really gives you a pounding) and spray guns. A section of the large pool was made available for lane swimmers. We found the venue to be clean given the numbers of people.

In addition at the centre there is a climbing wall for kids and an adults gym- maybe next time.

We found the 126 car parking spaces to be insufficient. Naturally customers wish to park here as you get your ticket refunded but that leads to lots of people sitting in cars waiting for a spot.

The cost of swimming for two adults and two children was £11.86 if memory serves which I think is very reasonable.
