My wife and I are in our early 70s. We have used RSD for three previous trips: two to Turkey proper and one to Malta, so we were aware of some of the downsides, but overall very happy. As usual the RSD price for this trip was attractive, even with the extras. We knew there was going to be boring bits. The North Cyprus trip however was slightly different: in short the country does not have much culture to offer. So filling time was a struggle for the organisers. We stayed at two hotels and no complaints there, except the food was rather unexciting. One memorable trip was to Golden Beach – which was covered in litter! This is not a holiday for even the sightly disabled: on/off buses, lots of steps to climb, rough paths and at end April quite hot: 27C. The travel arrangements were satisfactory although I am still trying to understand why we had to undergo full security checks and searches twice before we left Turkey – once at Ercan in Cyprus and then again after disembarking at Antalya – apparently its on UK insistence! How sad for RSD – we came back this time, but would not again after this trip! Treat this trip with caution.
