My husband and I were on the Viking Star in May on a Baltic Cruise. It was wonderful. We did not want to leave the ship even after being on it for two weeks. We booked over 2 years beforehand, being fans of Viking river cruises, when we heard they were launching a sea-going ship. As with their river cruises, drinks are included with lunch and dinner, also a guided tour in every port and because we booked so far in advance, even tips were included in the price.

Everything on board is first class, from all food being prepared from scratch, and yes you can get a tour through the kitchens. The highlight for me was the fantastic afternoon tea served in the Wintergarden every day, accompanied by live music.
I would definitely go another ocean cruise with Viking.

Do tell us what ports you visited during the cruise and how long you had at the different places. What were the guided tours like and did they allow you time to explore by yourself?

What was your cabin like and what facilities were there in it?

Do tell me more about the food - were they buffet meals or set course menu?
