Weekend in London

Spent a lovely packed weekend in London last summer. Highlights were the Globe theatre, great venue and acting. My tip is go for the back row and you get the wall as back support. Afternoon tea in London is a must. Try Travel Zoo for deals here. National Gallery is always worth a mooch round and is free too. Tower of London was fascinating but consider a palaces card.

SUSAN-Johnsonalmost 5 years agoI stayed at the Civil Service Club -very central, easy walk from Waterloo. You can only stay here if you qualify for membership or are related to a member. Location was brilliant and excellent value but club itself is dated and our room was musty, which didn't get addressed as staff changed frequently and not interested. I didn't recommend the club as it depends on what you want but personally would use it again as you get what you pay for and it was so central which saved on tubes.
Can't remember which hotel I went to for tea, but have done a few afternoon teas in London through travel zoo on offers and not been disappointed yet. -
