This is a really lovely park, on the outskirts of Leeds. We were in Leeds for the day, and got the bus to the park no problem. Buses 2 & 12 both go from the city centre to the park every ten minutes or so.

There are gardens, and a lake, and on a summer’s day, it’s just such a pleasant place for a stroll.

Don’t miss Tropical World while you are here, as that, for me, is the jewel in the crown of Roundhay Park.

We used to live within walking distance and we could cycle through the park (before bikes were banned) with my daughters. There is a cafe and in summer a train runs through the park.
Even pop concerts have been held there.

It looks a lovely place. Is there any boating on the lake? What about cafes?
