We stayed at The Camberley with our grown up children and their partners, for a winter break and post Christmas reunion. It's situated just opposite the Harrogate International Centre, makes it ideal for anyone attending an event there, but it is also centrally placed for all the other attractions of this attractive Yorkshire town. (We decided on afternoon tea at the iconic Betty's Tearoom, a short walk away.) We were welcomed by the owner, who made sure there was space for us all to park, and shown to clean, comfortable rooms with all the facilities we might need. There is a cosy lounge where we met up later, before heading out for the evening. Plenty of information was available about the many restaurants and pubs in the area as well as other tourist information for visitors. (We spent time in a lovely pub just down the road with great beer and a friendly atmosphere!) After a comfortable night's rest, (there is traffic as you would expect in a large town, but with windows closed it didn't disturb us,) we went to the former kitchen, below the lounge, where breakfast was served. In this beautifully restored room we were treated to a real taste of Yorkshire! Almost everything on the wide menu was Yorkshire produced or sourced, including tea and coffee from Taylors of Harrogate. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order while you could choose from a buffet selection of cereals, fruit and preserves. This is a tall Victorian property with lots of stairs although there are some ground floor rooms available. We will certainly return!

Sounds like a very nice place to stay. Always good to have a hotel near the city centre.
