There are six small white wooden cottages in an attractive grassy setting in the centre of Rocky Harbour. The owners live on site and are friendly and helpful. We were given a couple of moose steaks from their freezer when they found out that we hadn't had any moose to eat during our stay in Newfoundland.

We were in Cabin 1 and had a nice sea view from the front of cabin. There was a picnic table outside and a small balcony with BBQ. The cabins sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms but were small and it would have been very cramped with 4 adults. The living room was long and narrow with settee, rocking chair and TV reception was dodgy and the picture kept disappearing.

The kitchen area had a big fridge freezer, cooker, m/v, kettle and coffee maker. There was limited working space. It was well supplied with crockery and cooking pans. There was a small dining table and 4 chairs but limited space.

Both bedrooms were a bit small. The beds were comfortable and towels good.

Internet didn’t reach Cabin 1 so we had to go to laundromat to get a signal.

The cabin was not serviced during our stay – but this seems to be the case in Newfoundland.

We found Rocky Harbour busy and touristy. Another time I think we would look for accommodation around Norris Point for the northern area of Gros Morne National Park or else Woody Point for the area.
