What a shambles!

I would not even give them one but this system says you have to award at least this. They cancelled our flights to Barcelona without informing us. I found out when I went to check us in a week before flying to find our booking, which we had made 5 months previous, had been cancelled. When I rang up to see what was going on, I was told we had been notified of the cancellation by e-mail a month before on the 11th Oct 2013. We checked our e-mails and found the only email from jet2.com on that date or anywhere near that date, was one advertising new flights to Toronto. To add insult to injury an e-mail of the 7th Oct 2013 was saying how there was only two months to go until our trip to Barcelona and how well Jet2.com were going to look after us. After speaking to customer services by phone I was informed complaints in writing were handled by an email address. On this site they said they take up to 28 days to get back to you. Members of my family had booked holidays from work to go on this trip. In the short period of time left to try to re-book somewhere else nothing else fitted our budget or work commitments and so we scrapped the holiday altogether. This company are a shambles. Do not book with them or if you do, take all their emails 'counting the days to your trip and how well they are going to look after you', with a large pinch of salt.
