My friend that I haven't seen for over 40years came to visit me in Manchester. I was absolutely delighted. We were having a great time walking around Manchester. By the late afternoon, we were filling a bit hungry. The weather was not great. We were walking around China Town at the time. We noticed a black broad on the pavement saying The only Vietnamese restaurant in China town. We decided to go in and give it a try. It was a restaurant down in the placement. It looks clean and spacious inside. My friend and I only wanted a snack and somewhere warm and dry to sit down and talk. The restaurant was not busy because it was late in the afternoon. The decorations was simple with frame pictures on the walls an whit tables and chair. The waiter brought the menu over to us. He was very polite. The menu was extensive. We decided we only wanted a small snack. We order 2 soup noodle dishes: A Wanton noodle and a crabmeat and egg noodles. We also order a pot of Chinese tea to drink. As we were waiting for our noodles to arrive, we took a look at the tray of exotic Vietnamese sauces on the table. There was a bottle of chilli sauce, a jar of chilli oil and soy sauce. Quite selection. We did not have to wait for long before our food and drink arrive. My crabmeat noodle look spicy and smell delicious. The wanton noodle also look very good and meaty. Both dishes were piping hot. They also brought along a tray of bean sprouts, and whole leaves herbs ( mint etc) as well as a little dish of chopped chilli and lime pieces. They serve the beans sprout and chilli separately so that you can add it onto your noodle as you like. Be warn, the chilli was really hot fiery. Chopsticks and spoons were bought to us too. My noodle was absolutely delicious. We were feeling rather full by the time we finished. My friend and I both enjoyed our sitting down and our noodles. The final bill came to £16.00, It was inexpensive. It was an unusual dining experience for us. I will recommend it to anybody who enjoy Asian cuisine.
