We chose this tour as we figured it would probably be the only time we visited this part of the world and we wanted to see as much as possible We certainly saw a lot but with hindsight I would have settled for something more leisurely that allowed some real exploration of the places visited. I would have preferred to travel by road to see more of the countryside but time constraints meant a number of internal flights. Hotels were all 4 or 5 star, which was very nice, but our group was much too large and a lot of time was wasted rounding people up.

Having said all that, the tour was well organised without being too regimented and there were opportunities to go and do your own thing, which suited us.

Vietnam and Cambodia are very different. Everyone in Vietnam is a budding entrepreneur, while Cambodia is much less developed, outside the hellhole which is Siem Riep, but you have to put up with it to visit Angkor Wat. Hanoi and Saigon were both amazing and worth a longer stay.
