My husband and I went on a Star Clippers Greek Island cruise for our 25th anniversary. I instantly loved Star Clippers. We cruised round the Greek Islands and also Bodrum and the Dalayan River in Turkey.

The ship was very unique with the sails and I loved the sailing events at night where music was played and everyone came up on deck to watch the ship set off. I will remember this for a very long time.

The food was excellent and there was plenty of room in the seating areas and dining room. There was a library which was air conditioned and very peaceful with the opiton of checking emails on a computer which was very handy whilst away from home and no laptop with me.

There were activities each day where a zodiac would take us off to a private beach and we had the choice to go back to the ship every 30 mins which felt like a floating hotel. The cabin was very sizeable and comfortable with toiletries which were of good quality.

The trips were well organised but it was possible just to get off the boat onto the tender and do your own thing. I particularly like the fact that we could be taken off to an excursion or to a beach. My husband is very keen on watersports and there were free activities, such as snorkelling, sailing, kayaking and water-skiing. This felt like a younger persons cruise and was not at all stuffy. I can honestly say this was one of my favourite holidays.

Hi, yes it did seem to handle well at sea. I am terrible for feeling seasick but there was only one night when the seas were rough and that was the last night when I had to look down into my suitcase - so wasn't ideal!

Before that, the sailing was smooth and everynight the ship was in a bay for the night so this was fine. I would definitely go again.

    Hope this helps.

We have seen the Clipper boats moored up on several occasions, when we have been cruising on the large ocean cruise ships. They look stunning when their sails are up. I am wondering how stable they are in the water? Do they handle well at sea?
