I was apprehensive about sailing to the Norwegian Fjords because the North Sea can be very unpredictable. We were very fortunate to have calm seas because the two weeks before we sailed the crossings had been very rough. Boudicca is an old ship but the interior is well maintained, our cabin was adequate (deck 4) and the food and entertainment was good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We docked at 4 ports Alesund, Olden, Flam and Bergen and had a day in each port. The scenery in each area is magnificent. We were able to sail into the Fjords to dock because Boudicca is a smaller cruise ship. This gave us the opportunity to explore independently, rather than on organised trips (which are expensive). We went on one half day trip to see a glacier followed by a lake cruise. The Guide was very informative.

All in all t was an excellent way to see the Fjords
