We flew from Gatwick to Barbados with Thomson Airways – a long flight but so much to look forward to. Upon arrival at Barbados we are met by P&O staff and guided on to minibuses which take us to the terminal. Not long queuing and we are soon in our cabin – luggage arrived about 2 hours later. Such an easy transfer! First time on Azura and a little difficult to navigate due to size but it soon becomes quite easy. It is a busy ship but so much is going on to suit all tastes. The entertainment is to a very high standard and included a classical guitarist Dimitris Dekavallas who played at least five concerts – well worth listening to. I have so many fond memories of this cruise and enjoyed visiting 8 ports where we usually looked for local buses or taxis but I tend to do a bit of research before going so that I know what to expect. It is a very large ship but everyone we met seemed so happy and relaxed and I think that fellow passengers help make a very good cruise. The staff deserve a special mention because they were so efficient, helpful and friendly. We had a little rain whilst in the Caribbean but it did not mar what was a truly relaxing and memorable holiday.
