We have cruised on a number of occasions – always with a cruise tour provider. The ships have been large liners and small river boats. We have travelled with the over 80’s and this time we were with our son and young family – 5, 3, and 1. Might sound horrific but the cruise we were on stopped at Rotterdam, Zeebrugge and Cherbourg. At each place we got and the kids let of steam on the beach or in a park before re boarding and the afternoon’s entertainment what ever we choose. There was a great children’s clubs which they loved and meet other children and at night they went there leaving us in peace to enjoy an adult evening meal. Being able to cruise from Southampton and return there does have its advantages – no flying and parking provided. The food is fantastic, masses of different entertainment for all and an opportunity to chill out if that’s what you want. Even with children it's great.
