Marrakech is a city in Morocco, North Africa.

In the Medina, the old walled city, there are donkeys and carts in the narrow streets and you can buy anything but be prepared to bargain to get a good price.

We stayed in the hotel Maumunia a locally owned, very cheap at £5 a night with breakfast of "Honey and fresh bread".

The views are beautiful, with snow capped mountains, and there is plenty to do. Morocco is a great place to go for something different, it's a bit like living in biblical times . We loved every minute except for the street beggars wanting money the moment you stopped or looked lost, I would suggest hiring a guide.
