I have travelled all over the world but I found Peru the most diverse. in Cuzco I spent a day 7 night in hospital where they were very good and when I came out I had missed the local tour the other members of the trip took so I did my own exploring, marvellous. The amount of gold in the cathedral rivals that in St Petersburg I went into another monastery
where a young man showed me around . I saw the second largest pearl I the world mounted on an angels head and well guarded, also a painting of the last supper where the main dish in the middle of the table was a Guinea Pig. We did visit a village and on looking inside one house saw guinea pigs running around the floor, at dinner times they just picked one up and cooked it. From Cuzco we went by railway to Machu Pichu tough climb to get to the top. Then to a desert where we stay in an oasis and went sand-boarding. We got to the top end of the Amazon and canoed down the river to spent a night in a native village.

There is everything in Peru, the Amazon, a Desert, fascinating old cities, a huge Nunnery where they also had a room full of guinea pigs. You will not get bored there.
