After walking on the great wall, visiting Tiananmen square and the Forbidden city you wonder what else there is. Flying onto Wuhan and joining a cruise boat up the Yangtze allows you to relax and enjoy the sights. We think of large bridges in the UK being like the Humber bridge. As you sail up the river you go under dozens of very large bridges some still in construction and all different. A sight to wonder.

The 26 turbines and generators (and still counting) at the new dam are fantastic with the locks for the boats and a future elevator for the smaller boats still being built.

As you cruise you find you have been sailing through the worlds largest city for 4 days and still haven’t reached the centre. When you do, then it’s the zoo and the Pandas.

From here onto Xian and the terracotta warriors. Only the Chinese would find something so huge in a field and then build very large buildings over them. By the end of the trip you are proficient in using chop sticks. We added and extra 4 days in Hong Kong just for good measure.

A truly memorable trip with still lots more to see in such a large countryall with your own private guide.
