I visited this restaurant with my daughter on her birthday. It was my first visit to this restaurant, The restaurant had been recommended to my daughter and we decided to have lunch there before a visit to a matinee Theatre Performance.

The restaurant is in Grey Street in the city centre, so it is conveniently situated. I am unsure about car parking directly as we used a taxi. However there are the usual city centre car parks in Newcastle and taxis..

The restaurant area is spacious, airy and elegant with comfortable seating (the comfortable seating welcome as I have arthritis) and gleaming polished tables. There is a piano in the restaurant, although it was not in use when we had lunch., We were quickly shown to our seats by a smiling waiter

The restaurant is on the ground floor, in the basement area is a large bar area where we were told musicians play in the evenings.

There is a varied menu and wine list. Cocktails are a speciality. As we wanted something uncomplicated we chose The Living Room Burger with chips. What a burger it was!, freshly homemade huge and , it tasted wonderful, by far the best I have ever tasted. It took some time to arrive but it was worth the wait.

There is also a kids menu and a Sunday lunch menu which looked very good priced at 2 courses for £12 and 3 courses for £15 and there was an offer on at the time we were there of 2 courses for the price of 1.

Next time I am in Newcastle I will certainly revisit this restaurant.
