We traveled to Tenerife, on a Adult only hotel, it was the Sensimar Los Gigantes, in the resort of of Los Gigantes.

What a great hotel, we have nothing against children, but we find when parents go on holiday, with their children, some of them let them run wild.

Well this hotel was very peaceful, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the could not do enough for you.

The resort it’s self is a bit hilly, but there are places near were you eat and drink, so if you have trouble getting about, don’t worry.

If you wanted to go to another resort, there is the bus stop just a few yards up,the road.

There is a place called the Oasis, it is a place where you can eat, drink and swim and relax, if you wanted to stay there all day you can pay for a sun bed, also there are changing rooms, not sure if you have to pay for these, so please ask.

There are two places we’re you can relax, so make sure you go to the right one as you have pay to go in to the other one, this is the directions to the Oasis, if you come out of the Hotel keep to the left, stay on the left, just follow the road down, and it’s on your right hand side, you can see if from the hotel if you have a sea view room.
I advise you if you go to this hotel get a sea view room, the views and the sun sets are so fantastic.

Thanks for the advice about trips Kate-Moore-Blunt. That is very useful. It annoys me how much time can be wasted on picking up fellow passengers, particularly if you are the first to be picked up or dropped off.

Went to Tenerife in April and loved it. Stayed at Be Live Costa los Gigantes which is near Gigantes. Hotel was all inclusive and good value for money. Tenerife is no longer blighted by time share salesmen. Lovely countryside and well worth hiring a car to explore the island.

We went with first choice. One word of caution. Arrange boat trips etc locally, don't use their trips as you will waste too much time traipsing round hotels picking up other guests, rather than seeing the sights . just get a taxi to Gigantes and pick the boat trip that appeals.: trips can be an hour, half day or full day. Enjoy.

    We booked thought Thomsons holidays.

The hotel is well run, we were on half board, we had our meal in the restaurant every night, breakfast there was a choice of hot and cold food fresh fruit, tea and coffee. The evening meal there is a good choice of cold food, ie salads, and hot food, and a carvary, ie meat, fish, which is cooked while you wait.
There are two swimming pools, one is sea water, and other one is fresh water, there are always sund beds available do you don't have to worry, you do get a few people putting there towels on some of the sun beds.
You can hire towels for your sun beds, they were 10 euro for two weeks.
There is a pool bar, they do hot food and snacks.
There is entertainment most evening, we did not stay in to watch it, as we like to go out and have a walk around and have a drink.
There is a bar called the Highland Paddy, does food also there drinks are very cheap,( not sure now).

The oasis is not a resort, it's a place with swimming pools, a place to eat, and if you want to relax, you can hire a sun bed.
Hope I have given you enough information.

Did you book this yourself or did you book through an agent or go on an organised tour?

Can you tell us a bit more about the hotel and the facilities provided there.

What was the food like at the hotel - did you eat there regularly or eat elsewhere? Was breakfast included and if so what was it like. I rely on getting a good breakfast so I don't need to worry about lunch....

This may be the idiot's question, but what is the advantage in going to another resort like Oasis?
