I would love to visit Copenhagen again as my last (and only) visit some years ago, was unfortunately and literally, a washout!

We travelled in late March, hoping for some early spring sunshine – but it was not to be. The first evening it was clear that we had come at the wrong time when we noticed that the streets were deserted, and we had extreme difficulty in finding a restaurant open after 8 pm.

The following day it rained. The rain turned to sleet and the sleet turned to snow which continued throughout our visit. What to do? We went shopping in Strøget – one of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe; frequented coffee houses and bars, and spent hours on trains going anywhere in order to escape from the extreme cold. On one occasion we went to Elsinore and spent the afternoon huddled up in a bar drinking mulled wine! There are worse ways to spend time, but it was not how we had planned to spend our visit.

We tried to visit the Tivoli Gardens. No luck! How naive to think that it might have been open! Next time we will go in the summer.

What ashame! Sounds like you need good weather to enjoy Copenhagen. Photos still look lovely.
