We left Southampton In May 2013 experiencing very pleasant weather. The check- in was all very civilised and without any difficulties. Our cruise took in wonderful places like Stavanger, Andalsnes, Alesund, Tromso, Bergen and North Cape – land of the midnight sun. The ship is very traditional looking with an art deco feel and plenty of wood panelling. We were upgraded to a balcony room which was excellent. The entertainment and speakers were very good. The Britannia restaurant food and service was excellent and very good elsewhere. There was plenty to do on board, if that is what you like to do, pools, sunbathing (it reached an unusual 28 degrees at one point) deck games and competitions, dancing lessons. If you like excursions, there were plenty available but pricey if you ask me such as the train ride in Flam. We often opted to do our own thing which was not a problem on this particular cruise. It was superb travelling to the Arctic Circle (Honningsvag) and most if not all of the scenery was superb. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Disembarkation and embarkation was very well organised at each port. We were keeping to a strict budget as far as on board spend goes but released our grip in the second week, so I was not surprised to read that we had clocked up about $500 by the end of the cruise. All in all a wonderful and memorable 14 days travelling in and out of the Fjords of Norway to the Northern most part of Europe.

We did a similar cruise to you in June on the Ruby Princess. Again like you the excursions were pricey, and we did our own thing. There was lots to do in the ports of call, so it wasn't a problem.
We enjoyed the Queen Elizabeth on another occasion, where we explored cities of the Baltic.
