We have returned recently from a wonderful weeks cruise on the Thomson Celebration (this was our second cruise on this ship) and we had a fantastic time All of the crew, bar and restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. They have a great entertainment team, which is headed by a brilliant cruise director called Bram Lorenz. We were on the all inclusive drinks package but the drinks prices are very reasonable anyway. We were in one of the recently refurbished cabins (464), which was finished to a high standard.

The food that we received in all of the restaurants was very good. However, the food and service in the stylish a la carte restaurant Mistrals was excellent and well worth the £19pp cover charge. There is a large selection of shore excursions that you can do during the cruise. We decided to do the Jerusalem & Bethlehem trip, which was great, but it does include a lot of walking. Some of the ports that you dock at are not the best. However, at Larnaca (Cyprus) you can either walk into town it takes 15-20 mins or for a small cover charge get a shuttle bus from the ship. In Alanya (Turkey) you could just get off the ship and walk around. Both the ports are lovely. We have cruised on larger ships before, but I would rate the service atmosphere and entertainment far better on the Thomson Celebration. All in all we had a fantastic cruise and would certainly go with Thomson cruises again.
