This was our first cruise with our 2 children aged 12 and 16, 2 inside cabins next to each other, more than enough room. Embarkation was nice and smooth considering loads of people were boarding at the same time, there was very little time queing. They had cool drinks on hand, very smooth indeed. Went for something to eat though and found the Windjammer restarant was absloutely heaving, noisy and like a mad house, not enjoyable at all. So if possible give this a miss on your first day. There was a coffee shop on a lower floor which may have been quieter but who knows. The food in the main dining room was excellent though really enjoyed the evening meals, with attentive staff and excellent service, the children were really happy with the food too. Overall we enjoyed the cruise boys were happy so we were too.

This initial embarkation meal always seems to be a problem. The cabins seem rarely ready, so everyone congregates in the self service restaurant . Even on the smaller ships we have had this problem.
