The Island Sky was refurbished last year, being several years old under its current name (it was a Renaissance before). Noble Caledonia have hardly increased the price (although that is quite pricy to start with). BUT now include wine with lunch and dinner! The cabins on the low east deck are the cheapest but the largest. I could have had 4 people in mine on the king-size bed and the put-u-up sofa. There was also an armchair and TV with DVD player. We started in Syria then, because the trouble there was just starting, they diverted to Beirut. 10 years ago that would have seemed a "frying pan to fire" scenario, but now is quiet and beatifully rebuilt. To me, that was even more of a bonus,as I should have gone there previously, but had to cancel the trip following a fractured hip! The weather was quite kind, except on the last day. I always say when it starts to rain it is time to go home! I enjoyed myself so much, especially being invited to dine with the Captain on a Gala evening, that I have already booked another trip, this time to the Azores. That will be my 4th time on the vessel, more than any other ship I have been on!
