At the age of 64, I was definitely one of the youngest passengers on this ship and there were no more than half a dozen of us who turned up regularly for the fitness classes! Initially, we thought the cruise was expensive but it did include loads of shore excursions, wine with lunch and diiner and lots of little extras which you normally pay for on other cruise lines, so it actually was quite good value. I have to be honest and say that this particular cruise was a bit ‘heavy’ for us as the lectures, presentations and excursions involved archaeology, ancient greek history and similar. The entertainment offered was great for classical music lovers but I definitely missed the ‘lighter’ singers and dancers found on bigger ships and usually ended up having an early night. I must mention the library on board, it is actually better than our local village library and has a wonderful selection of non-fiction, fiction and reference books, also DVDs, games and jigsaws which I became addicted to! It was nice to be on a smaller ship where it was easy to get to know other passengers. The Filipino crew (as always) were an absolute delight and could not do enough for us. If I went on this ship again, I would look carefully at the destinations and check whether my interests were covered in the lectures and tours offered.
