This was our very first cruise and I must say we’d certainly go again with the same company. We were met at the airport and escorted to the boat which was more than we’d expected. The holiday included all meals and my god, I think I’d put on a stone by the time we got back! my son, who is usually a fussy eater, ate everything that was given him. The chefs were also very accommodating to us lone vegetarians. The cruise rep was lovely and spent all her time making sure we were happy. We had an upgrade to a cabin with no stairs as I walk with a crutch, so that made us happy. My enduring memory is of going up to the top deck in snowy February and lying on a very cold sunbed watching castle after castle pass by. My son’s was of driving the boat! the cruise came in at just under a thousand pounds each and so worked out at about £100 a day. The three huge meals a day, plus snacks, if we’d had to pay separately off the ship would have been more or less as expensive, and we got the accommodation thrown in too! I so want to go again.

Sounds like you were very well fed. I think I would prefer to go when the weather is a little warmer though and not freeze while enjoying the passing scenery.
