Number 5 Ravensworth Terrace was the Solicitor’s Office. The solicitor had his office in the front of the house with his desk facing the window.It was a large and rather untidy space with a large desk cluttered with paperwork and even a pot of quill pens. The walls

Behind was the clerk’s office, a more spartan space which could be entered from the back yard by those not wanting to ring the front door bell. There would usually be two clerks, with ledgers plans and legal papers being stored in here. Clients would pay in here.
