My husband and I recently visited Rode Hall Gardens and thoroughly enjoyed the February snowdrop Walk. The gardens are immaculate and many other plants and flowers have started to bloom. The Hall itself does not open to the public until April so sadly we were only able to visit the Gardens. Visitors in May will see carpets of bluebells in the Old Wood. There is also a Monthly Farmer’s Market at Rode Hall on the first Saturday of every month 9-1.30pm. The pathways are mainly gravel and bark so not all areas are easy to negotiate for anyone in a wheelchair. However, the gardens are suitable for people who perhaps are able to get around with a walking aid. I would recommend people to wear comfortable walking boots. After our wonderful walk around the woodland gardens we finished up with a delicious meal and drink in the Courtyard Kitchen. I hope to visit again later in the year to have a look around the Hall which looks very grand.

Admission to the Gardens only is £5 for adults, children under 16 £2 and under 5’s free.
Dates for The Snow Drop Walks are 1st Feb – 1st Mar 2020 Tues -Sun (Closed Mons) 11-4pm
