Last week of May, we went as a extended family break to Edinburg. We discovered a few new sights to visit with the grandchildren (ages 6 & 2.5). Our favourite was Camera Obscura World of Illusions. The kids and adults were having so much fun that we could have stayed all day and evening. But it was the roof top view using optical lenses that was the best. Do visit this attraction if you go that way. It’s right near the castle. Can’t wait to go again.

We went as a family a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the Camera Obscura. We were staying at the Witchery opposite for my 85th birthday. My grandson, who must have been 12 or 13 at the time, convinced the whole family to go an authentic Scottish restaurant that he’d seen on our sightseeing tour the day before. Little did we know he was hoodwinking us to go to McDonalds but as he said - you can’t get a more Scottish name than that for a restaurant.
