This lovely visitors centre, once part of the Earl of Fitzwilliam’s Wentworth estate, is a great place to spend a few hours. There are small craft outlets, antiques galore, heritage trains, cafes and an ale outlet. The pub next to it has ensuite rooms at a good price. There is a children’s area and FREE PARKING. It’s worth looking at the website for special events or or when the train is running. Visited in January 2018 (had to tick 2017 as the new year not yet available).
