The normal Premier Inn set up but our double room had an armchair in rather than the couch/ extra bed. Have stayed here many times, very comfortable & good nights sleep. Takes all the stress away to come here the night before & not risk an issue on M23 or M25. Took advantage of the wine deal in the Thyme restaurant which isn’t well published, whereby you by 2 large glasses & they give you the bottle. Knocks anything between £3 & £5 off the bottle price. Also did the meal deal for dinner & breakfast. Good quality food for a reasonable price. As always the staff were helpful & lovely. They are refurbishing the outside of the building so the windows have been frosted for privacy but the work stops in good time so it doesn’t impact your rest. Still my “go to” place if we’re flying from Gatwick.

You don’t need a shuttle bus, the terminal is just across the road. See my response to ESW below.

Is there a shuttle bus and , if so, how long does it take, please? I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton last time but was expensive. Going again in September.

That’s right sandra_42. So with the meal deal you can get dinner bed & breakfast for about £45pp as a couple or about £60 as a solo.

That's an amazing price. That's what a cab costs me from South London.

You’re welcome. Book as early as you can & often the rate is very low. We got this one for £35.

Thank you. That is worth remembering. Last time I used the Bloc Hotel in the south terminal but, like its name, was a basic block... There was no phone so no early morning alarm call which for a very early check in.

Its really easy, the hotel is on the other side of the road to the terminal. So 2 mins to the lifts or travelator that take you up to Departures. We even stay here when we go from South Terminal as the inter terminal monorail is also right there.

How easy is it to get into the North Terminal from here - is it walkable?
