A Grade I-listed mansion on the edge of Sherwood Forest.
OK it looks a bit bleak in this photo but believe me it is a beautiful mansion house and grounds.
Perched on the edge of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, the house, gardens and parkland’s of Thoresby Hall are as grand an invocation of the 18th and 19th-Centuries as you’ll find. Balconies and cupolas on the outside, galleries and tapestries within and all bound in unforgettable period elegance; Thoresby Hall has it all.
Located on the edge of Sherwood Forest and just north of Nottingham, Thoresby Hall is perfectly placed to explore the vibrant county of Nottinghamshire. At the centre of England, and just waiting to be explored, you can experience city life, beautiful countryside and traditional market towns all from one location.
There are indoor and outdoor leisure activities like fencing and archery, or take a walk around our stunning gardens. You can now indulge in the fabulous spa on every break, why not add a World Spa treatment? They have lots of things to keep you entertained throughout your stay, all included in your break.
I stayed here this year for the first time, and it certainly wont be the last, it has some incredible history which can be obtained from various web sites should anyone wish to do so….
