Sunsets

No- the sun goes down behind hills; the great thing is that the mountains opposite turn pink in the sunset, though
Amazing how close the Isle of Man looks in the first pic- it’s 30 miles away. On a clear winter’s day you can see the snow on the hills- on a muggy one it’s just a faint shadow on the horizon.

Sailing out of Greenock last year, Most of my sunset photo’s don’t involve seeing the sun, just love greyscale photo’s – seem to take more of them than colour sunsets…..

Super pictures Jo. Do you get such good sunsets from the new house?

This is one of my all time favourites taken on Hutegruten in the Lofoten Islands.

For the ship fanatics, this was taken on Harald Jarl which is no longer part of the fleet having been sold off. It was refitted as a luxury cruise ship and sails under the name Andrea.

Thank you, it was from the cruise ship just off the north west coast of Mexico

Great picture. Where did you take it?

ESW’s comment about sunsets got me thinking about pictures of lovely sunsets. Have you got a sunset picture to share? I’ll start the ball rolling:
