We quit our jobs to travel the world

Unfortunately the travel industry has taken a huge hit and is not set to recover any time soon. Tread the Globe are in the position of many other bloggers who had hoped to record their travels and turn their blog into a much read site which attracts advertising to make for a very lucrative living. I have several friends who are well known bloggers in the cruise sector and they are complaining that everything has dried up. At least Tread the Globe are currently in a safer place than back here in the UK. Here’s hoping things get back to normal as soon as possible.

Sadly the travels of the couple in post #001 have come to a complete halt. See the video covering their isolation in Turkey at: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-shropshire-52038376/coronavirus-camper-van-couple-self-isolate-in-turkey-car-park

and/or read more about their adventures at: https://treadtheglobe.com

Such a shame. But I accessed the link and enjoyed hearing about them so far.

Good for him!

Here is someone else who quit a previous job and travel the world. I met him on Royal Princess today.

What a brave adventure, I’m very envious!

I think it will be a fantastic adventure and I will be following their trip on facebook where they can be found on Tread the Globe. I wonder how long it will take for them to tread in every country!.

Are you suggesting I’m not normal, Steve … though I agree with you about the good news item!

I think its news because its far from the norm. Abandoning the “pipe & slippers” for an adventure like this is unusual. nice to see a good news item too.
