Virgin Atlantic today confirms its position as the UK’s leading long-haul leisure carrier as it announces the launch of its 34th route – a new flight to Vancouver. The service will commence on 24th May 2012 and will operate four times a week on the Airbus A340-300. It will run throughout the summer until 27th October 2012. The airline is also starting a second service to San Francisco which will operate three times a week, starting on 26th March 2012.
Virgin Atlantic estimates that the new route and increased frequency has the potential to create up to 430 jobs in aviation and tourism in both Vancouver and San Francisco.
