I have a Nationwide Account and it comes with travel insurance that I top up – I’ve found them really helpful on the phone – though I’m nowhere near 90.
Have a wonderful trip.
All I know is the older you get the more they want so travel while you can and forget the cost of insurance
One of our members recommended GNU insurance. They specialise in the over 50’s
We have also been recommended a company called World First: visit www.world-first.co.uk or call 0845 908 0161 which is a well-respected family run insurance company which appears to have become something of a saviour for older people with stable pre-existing conditions. One of our members recently wrote to say how pleased he was with their very reasonable quote.
Many for everyone who took the trouble to reply. I’ll check them all out as soon as he has booked the flight.
My mother-in law travelled to America each year in her 90s, and used Tesco. Last year, just 96, she only managed Switzerland- still with Tesco.
There was another topic a few days ago which mentioned Citybond. Link below:
For an 85+ we’ve used:
Free Spirit (a trading name of P J Hayman & Company Limited) Tel: 0845 230 5000 or e-mail [email protected].
Just Travel 0800 072 0294
We just shop around each time but these 2 are our first ports of call (although we’ll give Citybond a try as well next time).
Can anyone please suggest a good travel insurance company for a gentleman who will be 90 years young in August and wants to go to Kenya to celebrate his birthday?
