A rather ugly diesel pulls a train over the spectacular Nine Arches Bridge, Ella, Sri Lanka. Commissioned by the British in 1921 this stone block bridge sits between Ella and Demodara stations.

Whilst Sri Lanka operate some relatively modern trains
Some aspects are more dated. A lot of the signalling is done using the old manual signal boxes, with the guy pulling levers etc.
The board indicating the next train is also very manual:
