SPRING is one of the best times to visit Cyprus as the temperatures are not too hot and the island is in full bloom.
Walking is a great way to explore the Larnaka area in particular and there are many nature trails in the countryside and mountain areas, as well as city and village walks that combine nature with culture.
In May, there’s the second annual Donkey Festival at Golden Donkeys Farm at Skarinou village, with children’s activities, music and dance, stalls of traditional Cypriot food and even a gift shop with donkey-milk food and beauty products.
There are also new discoveries at the ancient city of Kition, the oldest inhabited town on the island dating back to the beginning of the 13th century BC, on the outskirts of Larnaka.
