Germany to displace UK in cruise market

Back onto subject.

This is the Aidamar…

…at Southampton’s City Terminal last Monday (19 November).

And what’s more interesting is that the Germans are still cruising the Northern European waters in November: long after the American ‘cherry pickers’ have headed back to the Caribbean.

I would love and enjoy a holiday like this one. To to walk in the company and other colleagues. Sound fantastic. Will be glad to win it. Thank you’

Also booked an ‘Around Britain’ cruise on CMV’s flagship Columbus this September – sensibly it’s recent refit includes 150 single cabins, rather than the tiny no. most ships have, I got a very reasonable deal booking with Iglu.

Good morning Lesley Marie.

I remember CMV’s Columbus from many years ago.

We were on a shoreside holiday in Tortola in 2002 and when on a day visit to Road Town she was there in a former guise, P&O’s Arcadia…

Good grief, I’ve aged a little since then and there have been many changes at Road Town too.

I had a great time with Mercury Holidays on one of their Escorted Tours to China – excellent all-inclusive value, and being a solo traveller, I needn’t have worried, at least 10 of our 30 group were solos.
I’ve booked a similar trip with them to North India next March – before it gets too uncomfortably hot for me !
Both these with no single supplement – brilliant, but book early !

Sounds like a scene from Fawlty Towers, @Leonora !

Strangely enough I was reading about a hotel in Mexico yesterday was exactly the same, the “sea view” was only achievable with a bent neck.

Where about in Portugal @lancschris

My next trip is hopefully to Portugal never been there before

@suehutch there is also Costa Cruises who have two ships cruising to Rio at the end of the summer season, the Favolosa and the Fascinosa. My suggestion would to be get in touch with a reputable cruise agent such as Bolsover Cruise Club and get one of their sales persons to sort out all companies that are doing repositioning cruises to Rio so that you have the best choice.
I did the trip with Royal Caribbean in Nov/Dec 2015 and it was memorable for all the right reasons.
