Berlin 'Fall of the Wall' commemorations

Yes thanks, I do feel very lucky to have been there.
Lucky too to have had a piece of the Wall.
It sat on my desk at work for years….then mysteriously disappeared.
I suspected the cleaners…but no one ever fessed up :-(

You are so lucky to have been a part of the original event and celebrations.

Oh lucky you – no doubt you will be celebrating again now. And yes, it’s a wonderful city.

A friend sent me a postcard from there with JFK in his limo with the German President back in ‘62-’63 and includes a genuine fragment of the wall.

30 years ago today the Berlin wall fell and a divided city became free.
I count myself fortunate to have been there and taken part in the celebrations.
I’ve returned several times over the years and witnessed its development into today’s ‘city of cool’….!
An amazing city, well worth a visit.
