Wow, seems to have been to story of rSpain this year. Loads of reports of massive bouts of rainfalls & flooding. Keep safe Gill.

Blue sky here, with a forecast of 20C as a high

Thanks, Steve. And to make matters worse all 3 main airports in the region – Alicante, Murcia and Almeria – were closed due to flooding, Heaven knows what happened with all those passengers involved.

Last night we had the mother and father of all thunderstorms – lightning and thunder every few seconds and torrential rain for hours. Our ‘best’ track has partly washed away, so needs serious work on it. Luckily, we have the ‘top’ track for access – runs along a high ridge, but you have to go a kilometer in the wrong direction to get to the main road, which is a nuisance – and that is not too bad, considering. The storms affected a lot of places within a large area north-east of here, with some roads closed due to being under about 10’ of water. As apart from a 40 min. period of rain on Mon., the first since May, it seems as we have had 3 months supply in one go!

It’s ‘Indian Summer’ time. We seem to get this most Septembers. Perhaps our summers are now split in two, May and September

Our weather has changed with a vengeance, we had more showers yesterday, and the temperature has dropped
at least 10 degrees to early 20s!

Looks a bit dull here this morning, I hope it brightens up later.

Yes, yes, yes! Last night we had RAIN! 40 minutes of the lovely wet stuff, the first since May, so
we are all over the moon! (Hot and sunny again today, though).

Sun and cloud but warmer.

London

We didn’t quite reach 50 – it peaked at 47 – but now a much more manageable 35.
