The Silver-i Awards 2019

After the success of the inaugural Silver-i Award in 2018, Silver Travel Advisor is delighted to announce the creation of two separate ‘Silver-i’ Awards for exceptional achievement in 2019.

The two awards, supported by Classic FM and Accord Marketing, will honour the travel company or destination that has delivered outstandingly for the mature traveller since 1 May 2018 in terms of a new idea, initiative or innovation either in Product Development or a Marketing Campaign.

The two winners will be announced at the culmination of the 2019 Silver Travel Awards, which will be held at 7pm-9.30pm on Wednesday 26 June 2019 at BAFTA on London’s Piccadilly and hosted by TV legend, Dame Esther Rantzen.

The Silver-i awards will be judged by a panel of leading travel industry figures including:

Derek Jones, Managing Director, Kuoni; Mark Palmer, Travel Editor, the Daily Mail; Sally Winfield, CEO Accord Marketing;  Nicola Bradley, Head of Travel, Client Category Development, Global; Derek Moore, Chairman, AITO; Jane Atkins, MD, Shearings Holidays;   Maria Whiteman, MD, Saga Holidays;   David Winterton, Head of Marketing and Global Brand Curator, Emerald Waterways; Lynette Dungey, Head of Travel, International Global Travel & Partnerships, Avis; and Amie Keeley, Head of News, Travel Weekly, the trade media partner for the Silver Travel Awards.  (Judges will not adjudicate on award categories that their companies have entered).

We are really looking forward to the entries for these Awards as ideas, initiatives and innovations for Silver Travellers are matters close to our hearts.
