Always useful to have ideas for a free day out when money is tight. All great things to do as well. I particularly like the article on the Yorkshire Sculpture Trail. Will definitely have to give that a go and close enough to home for a one day without having to go to the expense of a night out.

Very useful and extremely well written. I love that you can recommend free days out as well as those that will potentially gain you shows an altruism, very much in the best traditions of British companies.

I've just got my copy, an excellent little guide. Easy to keep in your car or even your pocket. Quite good coverage of things to do in various parts of the country but it doesn't cover anything in London. Worth getting a copy if you haven't already.
For further inspiration there are loads of free things to do in London, like the Natural History Museum. Follow this link for a few suggestions.
