It has to be The Human League back in the good old '80s at St George's Hall, Bradford, West Yorkshire, still have my tickets dated "Wednesday 25th Nov. 1981."

As a teenager growing up in the 80's I absolutely loved music and going to gigs which is something I still love doing to this day. I still go to see lots of 80's bands with one of my all time favourites being Mike Peters and The Alarm. I've been to quite a few 80's gigs and seen the likes of Nick Kershaw, Howard Jones, China Crisis, Go West, Depeche Mode, Spandau Ballet, Kajagoogoo, ABC ...the list goes on BUT The Human League are one of the bands I've not managed to catch live, yet!!

I went to see Status Quo at Hereford Teacher Training College and the highlight was sitting and chatting to them in the bar afterwards.

Definitely Blondie who I have seen live several times. My special memory is when our son Alex came along to Brixton Academy and had to confess that he really enjoyed their live performance too along with the "old folk"

Going to see Status Quo on their 1+9+8+2 concert at Norwich football ground, was fantastic, they were at their best and were the (mainly) original team. Just getting out after the concert, took 21/2 hours!

I had beautiful long blonde hair as a teenager in the early eighties, then I fell in love with The Human League... I asked my friend to give me a Phil Oakley hair cut and it was fabulous. Unfortunately my mum didn't think so, she grounded me for a month. Happy days.

We went to see Joe Jackson in a gentle little gig in Manchester. As he realised the audience was singing along with all the songs, he thanked us and said that made him happy, a lovely evening.

Human league have seen them many times but a lovely evening concert after Wolverhampton races stands out in my memory when a “bob howler” (Black Country name for a large moth) caught in my hair “don’t you want me babbie!”
