I would absolutely love to go on a Eurocamp holiday. The trickiest part would be deciding which area to choose. Maybe the Italian Lakes or the Alps would be best for us as we prefer walking to sunbathing.

My first camping trip to France was at the age of 18 with my mum and dad. I really didn’t want to go on holiday with my mum and dad at that age! It was t cool! But I had an amazing time. We went to a small site in the Dordogne, I made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun. It was my mum’s first holiday abroad - she was 56. She refused to fly and had two more holidays abroad after that - both camping in France.

I recently had a lovely weekend break at a small private site in Devon. The accommodation, a 2-bed lodge with hot tub was luxurious. Now I need a comparison before I determine whether I want to buy one of my own! Camping is such a British thing I'd love to experience how the rest of Europe do it, although in the early 80's I worked for a company that had campsites in C'Ap D'age and other sites in the SOF. Things have changed since then I think.

I love camping. My first camping trip to France many years ago was a disaster. We stayed in a tent and had so much rain we were flooded out and had to move to another site. It didn't put us off ....we are still camping (without the kids).
