Taj MahalIt’s time for our annual survey of Silver Travellers, where we ask you for a few minutes of your time to answer a series of questions, so that we can ensure that we are providing the best possible information and advice on our site, and so that we can better understand the kinds of holidays that you enjoy.

We’re grateful to you for spending the time completing our survey, and an added incentive is that we have a fabulous holiday prize to be won – a Golden Triangle Tour to India for 2 people with our Silver Travel Award-winning partner G Adventures.

This compact Indian journey will introduce you to three very different northern cities and the colourful rural life of Rajasthan. From the hectic pace of Delhi with its bustling markets, magnificent monuments, and colonial past, travel by private transport to Agra and the mesmerizing beauty of the Taj Mahal — truly one of the wonders of the world. Discover why Jaipur is called the Pink City and get a taste of rural life at a Dhula village. Photographers and culture lovers won't be disappointed on this classic adventure.

G AdventuresThe prize is 2 places on G Adventures’ 8-day Golden Triangle tour worth over £2,250 with return economy flights valued up to £500 per person. The winners need to travel 30 June 2020 and book by 15 December 2019.

What’s more, we’ll be sending a Silver Travel goodie bag to 5 runners up.

A survey that wants my opinion and brings back happy memories. What a nice way to enter a competition.

What a fabulous incentive to complete a survey, and a survey which was right up my street!

I like the fact that this is a small group trip. Judging from reviews, G Adventures enjoys a good reputation too.

We took early retirement so we could spend time travelling. We are happy to go on escorted tours to places we would find difficult to organize sightseeing and accommodation. Escorted tours in UK are often cheaper than booking ourselves.

I agree with Hardyplant but then I suspect many Silver Travellers are unusual although not unrepresentative of the interesting people who contribute to Silver Travel Advisor. If we were to take a second cruise it would have to be to somewhere like the Norwegian Fjords, and though our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint we would find a return to India fascinating (we went twice in the early 2000s).

Completing the survey made me realise how unrepresentative I am as a traveller; we usually book our holidays independently, mainly the save money. My husband is unlikely ever to go on a cruise and I'm not keen on water. We also don't usually do long haul holidays - the furthest I've been is to South Africa when I retired. The only organised holidays we've been on are specialist wildflower or nature tours. However, I must admit that I like the sound of G Adventures and the philosophy behind them.
