We have been to the Isle of Man each year but one for the last eight years, and find different things to do each time we go! From the usual tourist sites, like the Laxey Wheel, to the lesser known back roads in the centre of the island, we ride (on our motorbike) up hill and down dale!
It doesn’t have to be an expensive break - getting there by ‘bike is obviously cheaper than by car, and there are plenty of rooms/B&B’s/hotels to choose from.
The weather seems to have it’s own ‘micro-climate’ - though I must say it can be as poor as anywhere else in the U.K.

I have never been to this island so the idea of a three night break there really excites me.

I always read the news on our TV's "red button" about British Islands: it is fascinating how different they are. It would be lovely to see the sights of the Isle of Man in person. Is there an Isle of Woman anywhere in the world, I wonder?

I went to IOM once years ago & loved it so would very much like to go back again - especially as I have forgotten most of what I saw & as a "young thing" was interested in the motorbike racing, as I had a boyfriend who had a bike!

My Dad worked in Douglas just after the 2nd World War and coincidentally, i used to visit on business in the 1970s - but never had time to explore the beautiful island. Now i'm retired, i'd love to have the chance!!
