I remember as a child growing up in Southport that our neighbours talked about their holidays sailing from Liverpool to the exotic Isle of Man. Somehow that 'exotic' idea has stuck with me. I'd love to check it out.

I used to live on the Isle of Arran in Scotland, so I know about the peace and tranquility of certain parts of island life. Arran, like the isle of Man is a tourist island and so in summer the population increases tenfold! Yet there are as many areas of peace and quiet in beautiful nature for the local and tourist alike.

The Isle of Man is on my extensive travel bucket list, so close to where I live but so far other places keep leaping above it! We are so lucky to have many beautiful sites to visit in the UK and I'm slowly getting around them all. A trip to the Isle of Man would be lovely as it looks beautiful in photos, here's hoping!

It's 50years since I was on holiday here. Our first flight too. I'd like to see what has changed.I remember the Laxey wheel and going to Peel. We caught a bus to Ramsey but has mum got off he reversed and she fell cutting short our visit. Fortunately she was ok. I loved the trams in Douglas and the fairy glen. What memories you've brought back.

Whilst I was still working I got to know a lady who lived in the Isle of Man and worked with Kenyan airways to ship books and resources to schools in Kenya. We used to donate unwanted books to her for the schools and she would send us pictures of the children enjoying them. It would be nice to see her again to see how things are progressing and visit her in the Isle of Man

I only live a few miles from Heysham and the ferry to the Isle of Man and have NEVER been. Shame on me!! Every summer we talk of going so winning this prize would be wonderful. It sounds and looks lovely.

Have only seen it from the air! It’s one of those places you feel you should go to as it’s so near.

Have only seen the Isle of Man front the top of Scafell in the Lake District, was a lovely clear day and we had a good view of Snaefell

We have just returned from a great week in the Isle of Man flying from Bristol. Public travel is fantastic - right from the airport to the Douglas promenade hotel and we visited all the main towns and heritage attractions by bus, steam train, mountain railway or electric tram. Our English National Trust cards gave us entry to all the Manx Heritage sites. If you don't mind a short climb up the road from the prom in Douglas I can highly recommend the Ascot Hotel with lovely staff and fantastic food. My husbands highlight was a ride in the horse drawn tram which hadn't been running for over a year but started a short trip again on the morning of our departure.

    Would love a return visit

Last went to Isle of Man in 1973 with my parents and siblings. Discussing Snaefell with Dad last night when watching the TT Races. We saw the whole island in a week. I expect it has changed since as the trains are now running when they were not in '73.
