I have only been to the IOM once in 1969, fifty years ago when our College won the Easter football competition. It would be fantastic to return after all this time with my wife, who has never visited the Island. The College was Cheshire College of Education, in Alsager which recently closed and has now had houses built on the site. Happy Days!!!

The Isle of Man, what a mirad of memories this place conjures up. I was 20yrs of age, the year was 1966. What a wonderful time it was to be young. My friend and I sailed across the Mersey to this destination for five days holiday. We stayed in a B&B, which was the norm then. The TT races were taking place, there were so many young people there, plus pubs dances, etc to be had we were spoiled for choice. Of course the five days went by all too quickly, I’ve never been back since, I wonder what it’s like now?
